Tasked with creating an infographic poster, I chose to focus on ecology and biodiversity. I went in the direction of native plant gardening, with the goal of teaching the viewer about native plants and ecosystems. This piece showcases illustration, but also pulls from Victorian era botanical imagery.
I chose to cover the marginal shield fern, because its range is quite broad across the northeastern United States, and would be a relatable or easily recognizable plant for many people.
The goal for this poster is not only to inform, but to be an aesthetically pleasing decoration for a home, retail, or academic setting.
